On any given day, customers can wander into the store in the heart of Main Street and choose from a variety of beautiful handmade designs. To order their own unique creations, they can also travel to the outskirts of town to the store and studios at Nanny Cay, where artisans are constantly throwing, moulding and glazing an exciting array of pieces. Many of these pieces depict the distinctive sights and creatures of the Virgin Islands, like sea grape leaves, corals or the ubiquitous ground lizards.

Bamboushay's inspiration comes from the Virgin Islands' people, its culture and the surroundings of tranquil oceans, lush hillsides and blue skies.

The earthenware pieces are made from impressions on clay, or sculpted and painted by Bamboushay artists. They are kiln-fired at more than 2,200 degrees, making them strong, dense, impermeable, durable and safe enough for the oven and dishwasher.
