Other Islands

Guana Island, Cooper Island, Peter Island, Norman Island and Marina Cay
Sightseeing

Other islands also offer attractions worth visiting, but most are inaccessible except by private boat. Some, such as Guana Island, Cooper Island, Peter Island, Norman Island and Marina Cay are home to hotels and restaurants that provide transport for visitors. You can contact them directly to make arrangements for a visit. If you really want to get away from it all, give these a try. Most other islands are either uninhabited or private. Visiting these requires an invitation or access to a boat.

Beaches

Peter Island has no less than five beaches from which to choose. The most famous being Deadman's Bay. Crescent-shaped and sprinkled with coconut palms, it's also the site of the Peter Island Beach Grill, part of the famous Peter Island Resort. Among the other beaches here are Honeymoon Beach and White Bay, both of which are usually deserted, and offer great snorkelling offshore.

Cooper Island's Manchioneel Bay is named after the tree that can be found there. Do not sit under it if it rains! The sap will irritate your skin. Perched above the beach are a few private homes. Isolated and seemingly remote since the island has no roads or cars, the Cooper Island Beach Club bar and restaurant is a great spot for conch fritters and happy hour cocktails. Turtles and stingrays frequent the shallow grass beds off shore. It's another popular spot for yachtsmen.

There are beaches on most other islands as well. In fact, if it's a big enough rock to stick out of the sea, chances are it has a beach. If you have a boat, you can cruise to just about any island - even the tiny ones - and find a secluded beach. Carefully weave your way through the shallows and voila, Robinson Crusoe in the 21st century.
